Open Water Season is Coming! Parents and swimmers, please find below the East midland Open Water entry form link, as well as a note from your Head Coach.
Please return the entry forms complete with a cheque made out to "City of Peterborough Swimming Club" to the RED BOX in the Regional reception by Sunday 10th June 2012. Entries after this date will not be accepted.

ASA East Region BAGCAT Championships Please find attached the entry form for the East Region BAGCAT Championships and our open meet entry form template.
Please fill in the COPS entry form and return it to the RED-BOX in reception at the Regional by 7.30am on Monday 14th May. Cheques (cash accepted) should be made out to "City of Peterborough Swimming Club".
We will be entering relay teams (age-band 10-14yrs) with the intention of qualifying for nationals via the Regional Champs. Relay selections will be posted on the notice board on the balcony after the Hatfield/West Suffolk meets this weekend. Please check and make yourself available if you are selected.

Fenland Open Meet Parents & Swimmers please find attached the programme for this years Fenland open meet on the 27th may 2012. This has now gone to the printers; if there are any issues with swimmers ages these can be rectified on the day.
Please note:- Warm up will be at 9:30 instead of 8:30 with the first session start time of 10:30.

Cambridge Summer Meet Parents & Swimmers please find attached the details for the Cambridge Summer meet. Check the qualifying times carefully and enter as many events as you like (but don't restrict yourself to just the ones you like!).
Cheques are made payable to City of Peterborough Swimming Club.
I would like as many swimmer entering as possible with the goal of getting as close to as many 2012 regional times as possible to set you up nicely for the 2012/2013 season. As such, training will now be targeted towards this meet so for those who have been working hard, keep it going and let's see what can be achieved!
Entries need to be in by Monday May 28th. Late entries WILL NOT be accepted so please don't leave it to the last minute.

Shopping Vouchers Parents and swimmers please note we need your support again as we plan to start collecting shopping vouchers. There will be a collection box at the Regional Pool on reception as well as one upstairs near the main notice board.
We normally do very well and over the years have managed to obtain numerous training and club items, so please collect and donate as many as you can.

Regional Swimming Pool - Parking This may NOT be COPS parents but it has been reported that there are still members of the public parking illegally on the Regional Swimming Pool site. Can I remind everyone that cars must not be left either down the side of the building or in the staff car park for the duration of your child’s swimming session, this is also the case for the new drop off lay-by. You can off course drop off and pick up outside using the lay-by, but please use the Bishops Road Car Park if you wish to stay and watch or if you wish to use the facilities. Remember that if you use the early morning (5:30 to 7:30am) sessions you can be reimbursed in full for your parking charge. This is done by taking your refund parking ticket to reception between 6:30 and 7:00 am. Also the parking is free after 5:00pm in the Bishops Road Car Park for the early and late evening sessions.
In the recent past due, to Leisure Centre users parking illegally the owners have used a wheel clamping company; nobody wants to see them return!

Calling all swimmers – could you be a young official? Anyone aged 14 or over can learn how to become a timekeeper and anyone 15 and over can learn how to become a judge, so if you are interested please contact the club officials secretary nigel.brigham@copsclub.co.uk.
Over the last few seasons our young officials have done a tremendous job helping out at the Mini Meet series and with the first round of mini meet on 26th November please let Nigel know as soon as possible if you might be able to help.

Volunteers We are looking for more people to help out on Friday Night please. The duties include cash handling and giving out membership information. The start time is 6.30 until around 8pm.
